“NASA predicts 50,000 satellites in low earth orbit by 2030”
Today, with low earth orbit projected to have 50,000 satellites by the end of the decade overcrowding has become a major threat – the entire NewSpace economy could be interrupted by a catastrophic chain of collisions
“US FCC: all new satellites must have on-board propulsion to enable de-orbiting within 5 years post-misison”.
This requires satellites to move in orbit, and to de-orbit at end of mission – and they need an efficient and reliable mobility solution for this.

The problem: today’s plasma thrusters were developed originally for much larger satellites. Even when scaled down, they are still poorly matched to the needs of today’s constellations of smaller satellites, requiring too much power, weighing too much, taking up too much room and consuming highly expensive Xenon fuel at excessive rates.

Needed: a much better version of today’s thruster – one that needs less fuel, takes less space, weighs less, and has extended lifetime built-in by design.
